Add SMTP Fallback Option per Domain/Subaccount
En analyse
Allow configuration of a “fallback” SMTP server for each domain or subaccount. If a local recipient does not exist in N0C, mail should automatically be forwarded to an external server (e.g., Exchange Online).
Usage and Benefits:
- Facilitates hybrid email migrations.
- Reduces licensing costs by offloading low-usage mailboxes.
- Maintains internal communication even with low usage mailboxes on shared hosting.
- Increases N0C’s flexibility and competitiveness as a control panel.
Suggested Technical Implementation:
- Add an “SMTP Fallback” option in the mail configuration panel.
- Logic: attempt local delivery → if recipient doesn't exist or delivery fails → forward to fallback server.
- Support for TLS/SSL authentication and delivery logs.
